Yesterday morning we had our first killing frost. I managed, through dumb luck, to get photos of the nasturtiums in the moments when they were in the sun, but not yet thawed.
Once thawed, the leaves and flowers melted away into sad memories.
I am of two minds about the first frost. One, I am thrilled that the end of hayfever season is now in sight. Two, I am sad because now I have to make it through the winter with nothing blooming in my garden. It's a back and forth I go through every year....
Welcome to our garden! Since 2007 we have been striving to turn our lawn into something beautiful, tasty, ecologically sound, and a centerpiece of our community here in Franklin, Massachusetts. We hope you enjoy your visit!

Those are beautiful photos! Kudos to you.
Thank you Carole! I know what you mean. Time to hibernate with some good books and games soon.
