" A sponsor of Alabama's tough new immigration law told desperate tomato farmers Monday that he won't change the law, even though they told him that their crops are rotting in the field and they are at risk of losing their farms." Yikes.
Yesterday, I posted about EXACTLY the same story! I hadn't even seen your blog...I just saw a few headlines here and there on the 'net (and of course I saw Stephen Colbert's report on this phenomenon earlier in the week -- he and Jon Stewart have become the only news I watch on TV because it's high-quality news).
Since I live in DC -- well, actually on the edge of DC -- maybe I should go down to the main offices of ICE, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and do a little demonstrating.
I say open that border with Mexico and let those people come and go as they please. They are apparently the backbone of our food supply. And we arrest them and put them in jail! Scandalous.
Welcome to our garden! Since 2007 we have been striving to turn our lawn into something beautiful, tasty, ecologically sound, and a centerpiece of our community here in Franklin, Massachusetts. We hope you enjoy your visit!
